It was a cold mid night. A breeze blew over the way and the road was pitch dark in the shed. On my way home i stopped at the garden. I saw a kid was walking around on the side of road. I have wondered what happened since it was midnight. A deathly hush fell over the road as I walked in closely. The wind blew was covered in a film of dust. Finally I saw a boy and talked to him, "Only you at here, where are your parents?"
The boy shook his head with a soft chuckle.Afterward he continuing walked around on side of road. He unceasingly to yawn from time to time. Sometimes he tried stamping his feet. I was curious about the boy.
" You are seem a little peaky and why you keep stamping your feet?", I asked.
" Because I don't want to fall in sleep", said the boy."
" It was very late now and you should get back home", I look pointedly at watch as i said.
He shake his head and said," My mother not allow me to sleep." After the boy replied, he keep yawned again. He was dropping with fatigue and tiredness was etched on his face. Hence he ran to the fountain and washed his face, to keep it fresh. It goes without saying that home is the warmest place in the world.
" Why your mother not allow you to sleep", I said angrily.
After that I held his hand and show me the way boy home. Soon we had arrived the boy's house. I am knocked on the door but the burst opened. The boy ran quickly to his house and stood besides his father. The boy's father seemed weariness and his father has bleary red eyes. The boy's
father seemed like feeling of doubt and uncertainty looked at me and said," Who are you?" I have just spotted a big mistake because I was surprised visited the boy's family. But I can't left the boy walked around at outside and it was midnight. Nevertheless, I called up my courage and talked to the boy's father," I am sorry for disturbing". I need to talk with your wife for a while. The boy's father swallowed
drilly and nodded. His lips was white and emaciated.
" Are you my wife colleague and thank you for visited even though it was midnight," said the boy's father. Notwithstanding I am misunderstood what the boy's father talked about and I did not thought about more. He brouht me a child's room. I regarded the child was on the bed with my wide eyes. Unexpectedly the child is the boy. The bout body inserted many tubes in his body to help him to subsist. I was hard to believe. A moment ago, the boy seemed a little peaky but still healthy. But now I can't imagined what had happened. The boy's mother sat besides the boy bed. As long as the boy close his eye, his mother would awakened the boy. "John please don't sleep, mother right besides besides you," the boy's mother crying as she said to her son.
"See if I sleep my mother will cry and awakened me," said the boy and suddenly appeared besides me. I was thunderstruck. I looked at the boy standing besides me and looked at the boy was on the bed. I am clear my mind now, the boy stood besides me it was a soul.
"Would you wan to sleep", I asked the boy softly. The boy was hesitate and said "I don't know."
I saw the boy unceasingly yawn and looked back the boy was on the bed. Once and once the boy closed his eye, his mother called the boy again and again. I knew the boy had difficulty keeping his eyes opened because he was very tired. " He was on his deathbed," I said as the boy's parents seeing me. I knew no one saw it but me.Six sense.I quickly explained about the matterhad happened just now. First they were not believed later they saw their son on the bed. The boy's mother and father broken down and weep.The boy's mother gave his son loving caress and said," Good night,John."The boy's father and mother were sadness at last found expression in crying.I felt the tears shooting from my eyes. I thought the boy is the sunshineof the house but it was end.
After a few days, I asked for a leave of absence to attend a funeral. Many people at funeral were wearing black armbands. I was came to pay my last respects to the boy. We all wept in silence for the boy. The boy's mother was frantic with grief at the loss of her son and the boy's father was pining away with grief. It was a funeral atmosphere. I was close to tears because God rest his soul.
